Our products are fairly traded and are made by artisans around the world. The practice of fair trade gives the artisans fair wages and more opportunities. These include a safe and clean working environment, financial and technical support, and respect for their cultural identity. In many cases, the items are made by women who are survivors of human trafficking. This is a great reintegration tool because it creates stability for them. They have a way to support themselves and stand on their own. They will be much less vulnerable to being trafficked again. It gives them and their children opportunities for education. We are excited to help the women in their endeavors!
Some products are made by independent artists. We enjoy supporting the handmade community and developing relationships with them.
The artwork that is for sale was donated by artists who want to use their art to fight trafficking. If you are interested in using your artwork to help out, please contact us.
